Modern Description: A small distyle in antis temple, oriented N-S (8.5 x 4.7 m, door to S) and altar S. A gamma-shaped side building with portico, tripod bases, bronze spear points, a bronze cheek-piece inscribed to Enyalios, a bronze shield taken by the Argives from King Pyrrus (272 BCE). Excavated by TL Shear Jr ca 1966. Found nearby, an early 5th c. inscription listing weapons dedicated after a victory. Finds 7th century BCE through Hellenistic. Early Classical destruction perhaps associated with conquest of Mycenae by Argos ca. 468 BCE.
