Modern Description: Atop a steep, 1000 m summit, very difficult of access, the fortress was discovered only in 1994. Pottery from the 2nd c. BCE and a Seleucid elephant relief on a tower. Possibly the Seleucid treasury-fortress Strabo called Kyinda, but probably not.
