Modern Description: Cave excavation beween Andritsa and Velanidia. No public access, but finds on display at Byzantine Museum of Argos. Excavations ca. 2004 revealed 50 skeletons from ca. 600 CE, a refuge site for (mostly) women and children, not disturbed after their deaths (and evidently trapped inside). Intact LR pottery and lamps, gold coin of Tiberius Constantine (578-582 CE). Bronze cross with incribed Lord's Prayer.
