Modern Description: The rocky islet just off the coast of Kythnos below the ancient acropolis has been excavated by Alexandros Mazarakis-Ainian and his team since 2018, bringing to light an EC fortification, a 3-aisled MByz basilica, and a Geometric-Archaic sanctuary with altar and large retaining wall for a vanished temple. Also inscriptions. It was once connected with the mainland, and part of an ancient harbor.
