Modern Description: Signposted (follow signs toward the Kastro), then follow the coastal track. Remains of a substantial fortification wall, large, irregular blocks, indented trace, suggesting a prehistoric to Geometric date, on the N slope of the rocky Nisi peninsula north of the Paralio Astros castle. Very little sherd scatter, suggesting the settlement was elsewhere.
On the W slope at Kotrona, part of the 5th-century BC defensive wall. The site was used as a fort in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC. Remains of habitation dating from the Roman era.
