Modern Description: Take the paved road from modern Asea toward Archamites. After the turn for the Prof. Ilias Athena temple, there is a turn marked by a tiny fenced chapel of Agia Paraskevi. The site is about 100 m. down the forest track left of the chapel. Backfilled, but piles of rooftiles mark the site. Excavation by the Finnish Institute of a Hellenistic to Roman sanctuary site at Ag. Paraskevi chapel between Asea and Archamites, Arcadia, 2009-2018, has revealed an important sanctuary of Artemis Lycoatis, identified by stamped rooftiles (to that goddess and Despoina from Lykosoura). Unfortunately, the trenches are backfilled every year. Many small votive offerings, including statuettes of Artemis and Apollo.
