Modern Description: Large ancient site known from survey. During construction of the new Tripoli-Sparti E71 highway, a major complex from Roman times was unearthed, with a monumental Roman tomb, at the site called Ekklesies. Spolia indicate the presence of a Classical-Hellenistic sanctuary as well. The site also had a 5-6th century settlement destroyed by fire. The road trace has been adapted to preserve the site.
