Modern Description: Overlooking the entrance to the gulf of Bozuk is a fort in which the Rhodian cult of Zeus Atabyrios is attested. The Athenian fleet under Konon anchored in its harbour before the naval battle of Cnidus in 395 BC, and the fleet of Demetrios Poliorcetes before its attack on Rhodes in 305 BC. On a hill to the E are ruins of the fortification of the acropolis of Loryma and in a cave on the shore is evidence of ancient cult. To the N is another fort on a high hill with two enceintes. Pyramidal bases of ex-votos are found in the wider area.
