Modern Description: Remains of buildings, a defensive wall and thermae in modern Neapoli, in the creek of the Boeatic gulf. The city of Boeae, port of Sparta in Classical times, reach its zenith in the Roman imperial period. A local archaeological collection at Neapoli.
Beneath the present metropolis are remains of an Early Christian basilica. Marble reliefs in a folk style (6th or 7th century).
