Modern Description: Traces of a Geometric/archaic shrine and altar on a clearing on the border between ancient Lato and Olous, in a place called Derai sacred to Ares. In the 2nd c. BCE a double temple was built on the site. Inscriptions record Knossian mediation over ownership of the sanctuary following a war between Lato and Olous.
