Modern Description: First Cemetery of Athens, where the wealthy and/or influential prefer to be buried. If they made enough of a mark in life to leave alert adherents behind, their bones may be allowed to stay in the ground. Grave sites are in short supply, and are usually recycled after a few years. Presumably the Elysian Fields are directly underneath/overhead, but the Isles of the Blest are elsewhere, perhaps a remote Aegean island with no airport and small, gravelly beaches with no recliners.
